Introducing Our New Farebox

It's faster.  Easier.  And more convenient.

The new farebox gives bus customers more ways to pay for their bus fare:

• Accepts $1, $5, $10 and $20 bills.
• Accepts coins.
• Credit is provided in the form of a Stored Value Pass for use on future rides (they never expire).
• Accepts all passes.
• Buy All-Day Unlimited Freedom Passes.

The old fareboxes only accepted exact fare and could not provide change.

Installation on all RTS buses will be complete by mid-February.

New fareboxes are now on all our Buses.  They are convenient and offer great new features.
However, if you should lose your pass in one or our new fareboxes call Customer Service at 585-288-1700 or 1-888-288-3777 and provide the following:

             -   Bus number           
             -   Route or block            
             -   Date           
             -   Time           
             -   Type of pass          
             -   Value remaining on the pass

A Customer Service Representative will then instruct you on how to retrieve your pass.
